Alternating Tread Stairs

Painted Birch Plywood, Pine, and Douglas Fir with Rubbed-Oil and Beeswax

Creating access to a sleeping loft, these alternating tread stairs are more space efficient than a regular stairway and more practical than a ladder. Built to conform with the overall cabin look, we were able to repurpose surplus reclaimed wood flooring for the painted wallboards. A closet was added in the space under the stairs.
